Cloth? Disposable? Organic? and now Bamboo. Yes, I am referring to diapers. For some of us it's very easy to choose, Pampers or Huggies. After all, they are probably what we sported while crawling around our parents' homes. Well now we have more choices. Introducing gDiapers or as i lovingly refer to them - the hybrid diaper.
I found gDiaper in a desperate search to help my son's little bottom recover from a persistent diaper rash. At this point I had used every prescription and non-prescription remedy on hand and even some homemade concoctions, and yet little MoJo's derrière was still blazing red and tender. Finally, I thought maybe it's the diaper. Well to be very honest MojoDaddy and I discussed our options and agreed that a cloth system would not fit into our lifestyle and it would also be tricky for our sitter. A few days later after many Google searches, I found gDiaper and the rest is history! Honestly, gDiaper works, period. They don't claim to eliminate or cure diaper rash, only that there may be fewer. Their website www.gdiapers.com is adorable, as are their instructional videos. For a very zen experience, call their customer care line where they will help you with everything from estimating how many to order to coaching you through the first change. Hey, they'll even talk to your daycare if you're having challenges getting them on board. gDiaper is not without it's flaws. They admit freely that the liner will get dirty with the occasional poopy diaper, but you can rinse them right away (as I do) or just wipe off the worst and leave it for laundry day. As for leaks, so far no more than with conventional diapers. I don't have all the science behind the core material, but I find that at change time even with a VERY wet diaper, Mojo's skin is dry to the touch. For us, that translates to fewer skin irritations. So if you're just starting out, or like me trying to fine a resolution to a common problem, visit gDiaper and get to know them. Did I forget to mention how adorable they look ? Guess you'll just have to see for yourself! Happy Diapering!
